Very nice indeed, Im missing a u brake'd bike in my life. My 1990 Cindercone is my fav ride of all my bikes, there is nothing quite like the early Konas IMO

Is the frame no on there an 88 or 89?

If you want a similar to OEM brake this could prove a good little bargain!

Its an '89,they came with Shimano Mountain LX,not Suntour,I believe that was later as the early ones were equiped with a rear U brake,like this one has,those Suntour SE brakes won't fit,the bosses are higher up for a U brake

My 90 has an 89T Frame no, yours would be a US made frame rather Taiwan, is that right?
