Feature Bike
Hi all - I thought it was about time I posted my Spesh.
I bought it in 1989 when I could ill afford it from a mechanic in Bristol. He maintained it was the press bike used in the Bicycle magazine review of the Team Stumpjumper [anyone seen this?].
Anyway, after so many years trusty service I treated it to a Bob Jackson refurb and some new bits. [Still have the huge levers, and cantis - everthing else was knackered or lost along the way].
Not concourse, but in the spirit I hope.
Now a two speed using a Paul chain tensioner, its lovely and light.
Ritchey chainset is not right - will save up for a Middleburn duo.
Love the German titanium stem but it's a tad long.
Specialized GXL21s from the 90s still have some life and I stuck ti axles in the hubs.
Cheers and much respect to the incredible machinery I've seen on here. Jon.
