1988 Saracen Trekker decals

Decals certainly look good, one of my fears when you asked me about the job was getting a nice solid colour if these were going to be mounted on a dark area of the frame

Did they screen print them onto a clear vinyl or are the just a digital print onto a clear base?

Have you tried mounting any of them yet, do they hold their colour?

This is from a genuinely interested point of view, not trying to be critical :)

They are printed on clear vinyl and you are right, they are not as vibrant as they look on the white backing sheet. See the photos posted elsewhere on this site. I may talk to the printer after Christmas.

I am sure they do, as I said not being critical just a genuine interest :)

Will be fine on a light colour frame but I always have to work out a way round it on a dark coloured frame or run larger numbers to make it viable to screen print them

Good luck with the restoration :)

They look really good. Could be interested in the digital file so I can try some different colour variations.

Digging real deep in to the thread revival here but I don't suppose anyone managed to get a copy of these decals off the OP?

I have an 88 ready to build but it's missing the main tube decals.

I have been costing this out... getting the artwork done was expensive and I would like to recover a little of my costs if I can. I have had a look at eBay and sheets of decals for vintage bikes seem to be in the US$30 to US$55 range so I am thinking that £25 for a sheet as a mid-range guess should be about right?

By the look of things postage from New Zealand should be £8.

I am not sure how people have sold stuff on this board, but it may be easier and safer for all to just put them up on eBay?
Currently trying to restore my dad's 1988 trekker for him, and i'm really interested in the digital file for these decals, if you're still about, could you message me regarding this please? :) (I'm painfully aware this is potentially 10+ years too late )
