1988 Kuwahara Shasta - Great Condition

Picked this bike up from the original owner for $80 here in Calgary Canada. It's in great shape for its age with a few minor scratches.

Stickers on bike say it's hand made in Japan with triple butted chromoly. Fork is Tange chromoly. Components are Shimano Exage Mountain. Everything appears to be stock except for the seat and tires.

Is this bike worth anything? If so, are there any parts worth upgrading to make it ride better like front fork with shocks?
