Testing the water on here for a potential sale. Nice period example which has a little restoration. Covered about 20miles since. Ideal L'Eroica entry. Legendary Worksop/Raleigh/Carlton handbuilt in January 1986, 531 tubes and forks. Probably one of the last 27" wheel bikes built by Raleigh. All threads have been chased. Period parts, Gallo front derailleur, sakae double chainset 170mm 50/36 rings, Raleigh 610 centrepull brakes, weinmann brake levers, suntour friction down tube levers. New rear rim hand built a couple of years ago on campagnolo screw on hub and ss spokes. New 6spd freewheel and chain. New front wheel and ss spokes. New gator hardshell tyres 27 X 1 1/4.
Frame paint does have patina and has had a sympathetic light restoration. The chrome on the forks in places does have rust and slight pitting.
Included is the original front wheel with weinmann rim, maillard hub and two gumwall tyres, one is unused on the wheel.
It rides lovely and smooth and is very comfortable. Not weighted it but it is quite light. These frames do accommodate 700c rims and wide tyres and may take up to 38-40c. Current tyres are 32mm wide for reference. 23 1/2 " seat tube. 126mm oln but could be cold set to 130, 132 if desired.
