1984 Andy Powell REDUCED x2

Retrobike Rider
An unassuming ATB welcome at the most discerning British steel/earliest mountain bike brag-offs - a 1984 Andy Powell of Bristol hand made frame and fork with various hard-to-find period components collected and adorned. Much ridden because it's good to ride, it's a tad scabby in places and not a show queen. One of the bear traps has a slightly bent spindle and one of the axles needs re-greasing and tightening up. However, even the taciturn Andy Powell was brought to utter words of astonishment when I took it into his (or was it his mum's?) shop before it finally closed. I have had my fun with this precious old bike - now it is time for a new (hopefully RB) owner to experience and cherish.

Re: 1984 Andy Powell REDUCED

Have an evening bump from a fellow admirer. Very nice indeed.

Here it is outside Andy's shop in May 2010 - I hadn't finished building it at that stage. He was a man of few words but he expressed incredulity at its condition!
