Hi I picked this up the other day and was trying to get an idea of what model it is I was possibly thinking cyclone but the lug work does not match exactly. I posted up in the whats it worth section (may as well put it on pink bike for all the use that thread is) and no-one knew so I'll put it up here for the masses to view and if anyone has any info or thoughts I'd be grateful for your replies

Thanks

Clive

Re:

I really know very little about dating bikes, but are you sure it's from the 1950's, there are a few fittings on the frame at say it's much later.

Campagnolo rear dropouts, chunky seat stays, brazed on gear lever bosses, rear centre-pull cable stop etc. All point to late 60's/early 70's I reckon.

I was going by the frame number 22232 according to sources on the net, date it 1950s also the frame number is stamped on the NS drop out which lead me to my conclusion. I guess its possible that the other braze-on's have been added later which may account for the crown-less head badge

thanks for your input

Re:

Hi kingbling,
Regardless of the year that Holdsworth is gorgeous. When I look at it I see English design and craftsmanship at its best, the geometry is just slack enough I bet it's perfect for an all day ride. it's quite the prize.
