1937 Cane Sprints

Dirt Disciple
Not sure whether this is the right place but as it is general interest then why not?

Just finished refurbishing my uncle's old cane sprints. He raced them on the Isle of Man pre-war then I used them briefly for grass track racing in the 1960s. They have been in storage for the last 50 years but have cleaned up nicely.

The rims are Boston Fairbanks made by Compagnie Franco Americaine of Paris for Constrictor Tyre Company sale in the UK. The hubs are Airlite by British Hub Company. Very light but quite flexible by modern standards.

Re:

Nothing of the correct era, they are simply a family heirloom. They just wouldn't look right on the racing tandem in place of the disc and 4 spoke!
