130oln in 135 dropouts ?

Hi all

Got the opportunity of some wheels for my 92 marin team issue frame , but the rear is 130oln. Pretty sure the marin frame is 135 ?

Will there be an issue with this ? Can it be made to work ?

Thanks

H :)

Re:

Showing my ignorance now , but how do you redish the wheel ?

So if I put a 135 skewer in , will that do it ?

Thanks

H

Re:

The whole axle needs to come out, you change that for one 5mm longer and 5mm of spacers.
Now you either add the spacer to the none drive side as you should to keep the cassette in the correct place the true the wheel again (move it all 5mm to the side)

OR add 2.5mm of spacer to each side, you'll need to realign the mech stops and shifting. It is probably fine like this, a bit like 8 speed positions I guess.

OR just fit as is, clamping it as normal. no need to change Q/r
But it can be a bugger to get it in the dropouts easily. It goes straight past on one side.
Also you don't know if it's now aligned as one stay might pull in more.
But doubt you'll notice that.
