10s braze on front mech - Shimano 105/Tiagra/Ultegra etc

Re:

I don't have anything I'm not using, but be aware of the change in front pull ratio for some later models. Not all 10s front mechs work with all 10s STI units. If you have DT or bar end shifters, it doesn't matter.

Thanks - will bear in mind!

Some very cheap mtb front mechs at the moment. Might do the job?

Shimano mtb front mechs index differently to road. Can't mix n match levers and front mechs unfortunately. Unless it's friction shift of course

And if you're using a road chainset, the ring diameter will be bigger than that of an mtb, so the curve won't match, resulting in iffy shifts

Re:

I use a 105 10 speed front mech with DX thumbshifters and 46/36/24 rings! It works perfectly but the shifter action going to a larger ring is rather heavy. The mech was designed for long STI levers, not little thumbies!
