hi all i am repainting a bike frame and have a fork crown race size issue
basically the headset fitted was gubbed
i tried a used 1" stroghlight with a crown race of 26.4mm and was loose
so i bought a new 1" threaded headeset and that crown race is also loose
the crownrace that was fitted is still tight but the headsets a crappy non decript rusted and knackered yst tech something according to google but thats not 100 percent right maybe
i need to use theese forks as its a english moulton apb specific fork
anyone had a 1" headset and found the crown race of 26.4mm being a bit tight to fit maybe for me it would take up the slack of the crown race
cheers dave

If its a tolerance issue rather than the race actually being baggy on your forks, you can go round the fork/steerer with a centre punch & put a series of dimples which might allow the new race to bite.

Yep, pop the existing fork crown seat with a centre punch, at least front back left and right, try and keep it even so that when fitted, the crown race is central - that's worked for me for so many loose races
