1" stem for RC200, ahead or threaded headset?

I'm having to fit a 1" steerer to my RC35 MXCD forks to fit my RC200, so the lovely Pace stem I have won't fit.

I can't find many 1" stems around; does this mean that older paces had threaded headsets? Should I therefore be looking for a threaded steerer instead? Does anyone know what would have been the most appropriate headset/stem combo for this frame/fork combination?

If your running an ahead setup,just get a shim for the stem 1" to 1 1/8"

I have an Orange 1" SK9 ahead stem if that's any good?

There are 1 inch ahead stems out there, just not pace ones.
