1" plastic pipe aka home made Crown race tool

Does anyone know anywhere that sells 1" internal diameter plastic pipe? (or slightly larger) . I want to make a crown race installation tool

Any plumbers merchant or DIY type place should have some. I have a section that I use for crown races, works a treat

Hmm, good point, I suppose I'm still in MTB/1 1/8" mode. I've just got an old piece of alloy pipe that I use and it looks huge!

Could make some sort of shim I suppose? Others will know better than me!

Will check the diameter of mine later. Definitely works though!

Checked out Wickes and they're all unsuitable diameters; closest was 35mm (32mm inside diameter)

It needs to be 26 or 27 I think for a 1" steerer. I'm starting to think I might have to buy the tool.
