1 1/4 stem ?

Alright,

I just had a crack at swopping the stem on my '93 cannondale, but it would seem a 1 1/8 stem is too small. Bugger.

Is it possible my cannondale steerer is 1 1/4? If so is that just a cannondale thing or do a few bikes use 1 1/4?

Yep. I've got a '94 Killer V and that's 1 1/4"

Yup, there are quite a few of us out there. My Gary Fisher has an 'Evolution' 1 1/4".

Or get yourself a stem shim that will allow you to use a 1 1/8" stem in a 1 1/4" steerer. Go to sjscycles.co.uk for the part
