Any thoughts about older thoughts that came in the larger steerer size? Lots of manitous out there that look the biz, but just wondering if anything else might fit the bill?

Don't suppose Pace did one or that it is possible to retro-fit one?

Edited to add: Are Devolutions any good? Can't see Ck putting their name to anything that is not spot on. Any disadvantages?

Pepperoni forks came in that size and I have rock shox quadra 10's on my gary fisher in that size if that is any help to you.

I have some Rockshox Mag20's in 1 1/4" (threaded with long-ish steerer and plenty of thread) work nicely, hold air £25 posted

see here on my Proflex 753 (now dismantled). You can see the thread all poking out the top of the headset

ive got a couple of Pace 1 1/4" steerers but you'd need the matching crown :(

Don't you just take the split shim out of the crown to fit them?

There's one fitted with 1 1/8" steerer tubes, I always assumed that was what it was for. :?

You can always get a King Devolution head set or reducer cups to go to the more readily available 1 1/8" size.

Only RC35's up to 1996 had a choice of crown socket diameter which included one for 1 1/4" unfortunately; RC36 forks['97 onwards] only came with a 1 1/8" steerer hole which was reduced by a shim for 1" steerers.

mountainbikekult has a 1 1/4" pair of alloy forks. Pepperoni's are really nice too.
