HELP please: easiest way to lower gearing (and cheapest!)

Doh. Flurry of messages. Didn't spot the quoted one and never even thought about the diameter on the 22T grannies  The cranks are FC-M730s. Oh well. Thanks again. I'll check out the 12-30 cassette instead. It's about time I redid my hubs anyway, so I'll combine the two jobs. K

HELP please: easiest way to lower gearing (and cheapest!)

Thanks for the advice and links, everybody. I think I'll try a new granny first-off and see how that goes. I tend to change cogs a lot, and rings far less often, so that will probably fit better with me. I'll maybe think about that SRAM cassette as well at some point. I'll report back on...

    Fork advice wanted

I had a quick look at them and although they *look* fairly clean, they're pretty sticky. I'll have a better look at the weekend and I'll post a photo of them to see if you still want them. If you do, just give me the postage for them. K

    Fork advice wanted

I do have them, but I dread to think what state they'll be in. The crown cracked some years ago and a shop in Edinburgh quoted way too high a replacement price for me at that time, so since then they've got through a house move and they're currently sitting in an outbuilding. Might still be...

    Fork advice wanted

Hi, I'm new here having come across this site while searching on google for answers, so thought I'd register and ask for some advice directly. I've got a trusty old Orange Prestige ('92-'93) and I'm thinking about getting some suspension forks for it again but I'm not sure how much fork...
