Wanted - 26" MTB wheels with rim braking surface.

Looking for the above, not too worn. Decently smooth hubs and rims with not too much wear on braking surface. Standard q/r axles. To replace my trusty Shimano WH-M505 that are due for retirement. Not too far from Heathrow Airport as I'll collect these for cash one evening or weekend or can...

Thanks Harry. I'll keep an eye on these as I suspect that 'V only' may be a bit rare.

Wanted - Suspension forks for V-brakes

I've recently re-converted my trusty Marin Pine Mountain from hybrid to MTB. Wasn't too hard a job with just a pair of 26" WTB knobblies but I'm now looking at suspension forks. It has a 1-1/8" threadless steerer and V-brakes and needs at least 210mm of steerer. To keep in with the period...

Campag Record small flange rear hub.

Yes, the clever thing was that you cold change the sprockets to steel ones. I actually had a couple of modified ones. One was a 4-speed (12-13-14-15) that I used for flat courses and another was a 12-13-14-15-18-21 for hilly routes with the 18 and 21 in steel. It served me well on the Q10/19...

Campag Record small flange rear hub.

Unfortunately the current TT scene is very 'new kit is all'-based compared with the 1960-1980s where minimalism was the order of the day. Current TT bikes weigh a fair bit more than retro stuff despite the emergence of carbon fibre as aero marginal gains are much sought after. So unfortunately...

Yeah, sorry - my bad. Not a cassette but a screw-on block.

Campag Record small flange rear hub.

Thanks Shaun. FWIW I still have the Maillard Dural 12-17 6-speed block that I used with it .... lightest ever at 129gms, about 4.5 ounces .... tester's dream from the 1980s ... made entirely from duraluminium, even the body.
