Yes, the clever thing was that you cold change the sprockets to steel ones. I actually had a couple of modified ones. One was a 4-speed (12-13-14-15) that I used for flat courses and another was a 12-13-14-15-18-21 for hilly routes with the 18 and 21 in steel. It served me well on the Q10/19...

Thanks Shaun. FWIW I still have the Maillard Dural 12-17 6-speed block that I used with it .... lightest ever at 129gms, about 4.5 ounces .... tester's dream from the 1980s ... made entirely from duraluminium, even the body.
