I want to strip the bike down soon ready for paint, where do I acquire the period correct decal set from? I will also want to be changing some of the components to make it into a lighter beast.

I weight the comets bike last night, it's comes in at 25.4lbs spec is as follows Shimano STX headset, Orange Hot Rod bars, Orange Sk8 stem, lock on grips, Shimano STX Shifter/lever combos, Mavic TIB 230 Champagne Rims with Shimano STX hubs, Panaracer Smoke & Dart amberwall tyres...

This is turning into quite a discussion, all this info is very interesting that's for sure, maybe everyone with a confirmed Prestige should post up some pics with dates etc. what should the weight be of a bare frame Prestige and Clockwork both in 17" size?

Ok guys this is the bike in question, like I said before, I was told it was repainted in the mid 90s by Argos and then later type (more square) decals where applied. I just wanted confirmation of its type and I suppose you never know one of you lot may well know the bike.

It's a built up bike so I'll strip it down and weigh it
