    Hello! Thanks for the info and also boohoo! Gutted so yeah the Marin prob is too big for me unfortunately. Why can’t bike manufacturers just make things to a single standard way so everyone knows where they stand

    Thanks and yes I think the one I’m viewing is a 95 model purely guessing but it has the blue bar ends/components. Frame size question though. I’m after a 17’’ frame and the seller says its frame measurements are from the centre of the crank to the centre point where the top tube meets the seat...

    Thanks for all the comments much appreciated. I prefer the ‘look’ of the Univega but yep the Marin is the better bike overall. Hmmm….decisons decisions………

    Haha thanks for this! 😂👍 They are both around the £200 mark. I’m wondering if the Univega cromo frame is fairly light weight and decent quality steel also? I’ve read about Tange being very good but not heard anything about Racelite cromo frames.

    Thanks for your help 👍 found a couple of Marin Eldridge Grade from the 90’s that look in very good condition and have Tange steel frames but as I’ve no idea how they ride I’m asking around. Like the look of 90’s Stump jumpers but only one or two online that look any good and they’re 18’’ frames...

    Do you mean for off roaming? Asking as I’ll just be using it for fairly flat riding canal tow paths etc….
