If you HAD to choose new V brakes for a Retrobike?

Paul Motolites, if you can justify the expense for this particular bike. I first tried them in 1998 when V-brakes were still a new thing. (to me, at least) Easy to set up, modulate more finely than other V-brakes and you can use them with multiple wheel sizes on the same bike. This is how I saw...

Ti frames, which to keep and which to move on?

Myself, I would keep the DBR and the Raleigh but I've known other GT fans so I can understand your wanting to keep that one. Definitely keep the DBR though. Personally, I regret letting the '89 Merlin I had go. (it was Andy Tout's old ride!)

Unidentified Ti MTB Frame(s) Any Idea?

The geometry on them is like a late 1980s Merlin. B.B. is 12" high, ground to centre. Rides a lot like an old Merlin too. The KHS had different chainstays and dropouts. I think they were made by Sandvik. (STS) No, these frames definitely look like the Raleigh's, minus the wishbone stays and bead...

Unidentified Ti MTB Frame(s) Any Idea?

I was having a look at some of the threads regarding the Raleigh MTi-1000 frames of the early 1990s. I searched the web and studied a slew of pictures in detail. The two unidentified frames that I have bear some identical features to the 1994 MTi-1000. Same dropouts, same chainstays, same...

Unidentified Ti MTB Frame(s) Any Idea?

I remember Supergo also had one in their catalogue back in the early/mid 1990s. So far, only that scary looking rear triangle on Ebay is a match.

Unidentified Ti MTB Frame(s) Any Idea?

Ha ha! That certainly looks like the identical tubing, braze-ons, dropouts. (and weld quality) Hope my rear triangle doesn't become a seperate item like that one did. ;)

Anybody have any idea who built these frames?

Unidentified Ti MTB Frame(s) Any Idea?

I was in a local shop last year that mainly does repairs and used bike sales. While I was waiting for the proprietor's attention, I noticed what appeared to be a new titanium frame hanging on the wall. It had canti-bosses, cable-guides on the drive-side of the top tube (so pre V-brake era) and...
