Sorry Andy - they are in fact 36's anyway. One of them has 32 in blue marker pen written on it - which is why I was confused, but it is 36. Almost all of my many wheels are either 36's or 28's - funnily enough only our tandem has 32 hole rims!

I cannot check now, but I think I have an unused pair of 32 hole Mavic sprint rims, silver - might be Argent 10.... If I remember the spoke reinforcing grommets are a bit tarnished

I'm not sure if it is the most accurate indicator of age, but the SA hub gears have the year of manufacture stamped into the outer body - so if the hub is original it might give a clue.

Three more pictures - actually looking at the pictures with a macro lens really does make the whole thing look worse than with my naked eye. I think it's going to need to be stripped.

Quite - my worry too. The only place I think it's potentially an issue is the top of the top tube near the TEAM decal. There is some pitting there, and I do believe some of the 753 frames were drawn to only 0.3mm at that location. Luckily I'm a very smooth rider and lack the power I used to...

That's interesting - when I look at the forum on my phone it does indeed have the Attach Files button, but it does not seem to be there on my Mac computer (where my pictures reside). Could it be hidden, or do I need to enable some setting perhaps? Thank you for your response. Jim
