Brighton Big Dog, 15th August + AFTERMATH

Re: You should try the Tea stall.. EPIC levels of tea-urn curatorship and trying to keep it all warm and at the strict builders tea levels of fortitude.. must be like doing 8 laps or summat, on a single speed with the brakes locked on. There is now an EU used teabag mountain that they don't...

    Dynatech seatpost slipping ?!

Had the same with mine and I think the dynatech post is 26.8mm and the frame is 27.2 and there was supposed to be a shim in there. I put in a 27.2 and it was fine but I never did find the right shim. (Sold now).

    Chromevelato

Re: Wilier did a re-released Cromovelato a few years back with Athena on it, perhaps they used a different method or perhaps they made the chrome more copper but I know they did one as I thought of buying one. Pic in this thread. http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum ... =1&t=63972

The dream bicingg cost calculateur thread

Re: And! You can stare at a Dali for hours too! You just can't or race it down Mt. Tam. Don't mean you don't like it, or that it didn't cost you a few quid. Meh, pick your fave bike ÷ miles, post it or don't! Click on the poll, it's just a bit of fun and guurrlls or booiiss still have a...

The dream bicingg cost calculateur thread

Re: P.s. There is not a 'right' answer, only an answer. And smiles to miles is great - you can talk about it but cost to miles is the question. I love them both, pennies per mile to K's, most everyone is comfortable with what they did and they can explain it if they wish, or not. :)

The dream bicingg cost calculateur thread

Re: So, an admission, as yet I don't have my dream bike but I'm still looking. I was interested as I have some bikes that have been ridden loads but cheap and others that the opposite. E.G a track bike that has done 11 miles, about 80 quid a mile. Roberts Road bike, probably 500 quid (it was...

The dream bicingg cost calculateur thread

You've scoured the evilbays, the Gummy trees and Craig's own list. You found that bike that is your dream and you've made it 'just so'. You got a painter involved, you emailed the bloke what built it and asked for the obscure transfers that have been in a drawer for 10 years, you may have got...

Is a road bike really worth it?

Yes, it will most likely be a little time getting used and then I think you'd appreciate the differences. I guess it also depends on how far you are venturing and over what sort of routes? Around town I'd not expect you'd find much difference but some nice lane around and behind the downs and I...

Retro Road Ride, May 9th or 10th

Re: Cheers for the pics mike :? Anyhow, yes, it was a lovely bit o'biking, and whilst I do resemble the face that has had several too many burgers pushed into it, I got home feeling like I'd had a good day (we won't dwell on the next day of dull aches in every corner). Here's some more pics.

    Nice Montello.

No. But the brakes have a value to them that supports it, being prototypes and pantographed. Still lots of money and limited appeal unless you were a dyed in the wool collector. and something like £7k to put it on british soil. Anyhow, I have to nip out now and get a tube of chrome polish....

    Nice Montello.

Re: They do look like the prototypes (due to the clamp / metal clip thing out of the top) but for prototypes there does seem to be quite a few up for sale here and there. Perhaps rarer as engraved. Nice bike, strong money however, and would you ride a 30yo bike that's barely turned a wheel?
