Just tried the ChainReaction and Wiggle homepages, both still coming up as the ones with the links to Evans.

Another Pitmedden meet up - Sunday 15th October

velo is correct, my ebike, a 2021 Specialized Turbo Levo SL, has 3 power settings Eco, Trail and Boost. Each one can have it's own assist level set via a Specialized app on phone. Think I've got Eco set to 35% which is fine.

Aye, twas a guid day oot. The keys I couldn't find were in my jeans pocket, stupit auld diddie. Cognitive degeneration due to being auld, being 70 is a right basturt. Planet X Survives

I just got a letter today from a company called Interpath Advisory (Glasgow). It is addressed to me as "To all known creditors and members". Weird. The info being that Planet X Ltd is in administration and contains details of the administrators and the court case. Can't believe they are...

Show us what you did today, thread

Well yesterday evening actually, went for an evening ride up the Lomonds from RSPB Vane Farm. Where I was headed, pic taken from path around Loch Leven. Climbed to just above light coloured crags at right of centre of pic. Had ridden up there before but had to bail out of the forest road as at...

Middleburn rs7 lock ring thread help

Was going to suggest something similar. Back in days of yore when the cars I drove were older than me, Minis, Imps, if the thread on a bolt got a bit chewed at end I'd use a junior hacksaw blade to clean it up. Usually it was bigger bolts on suspension so the blade would fit in threads, starting...

    Dream vehicles

Aah, an A-series engine, a loong time since I worked on one of them. Had a Mini 1275GT a very long time ago that required an engine rebuild, it was burning near a gallon of oil a month. Found an Austin 1300GT in a scrappies with a good engine, knew it was essentially a 1275 Cooper S with the...

    MacRetro chat and rides thread

My Transmitter has 15mm and 12mm thru-axles that I thought the same as you, I'd miss QRs, but not at all. I take it you carry a wee tool and spares kit with tube, multi-tool etc? The wee el cheepo multi-tool I have has an 8mm adaptor for one of the smaller Allen keys. This has been perfect for...

    Autumn gravel/xc social ride

Guess who forgot their lights for the railway tunnels? Whit an auld diddy...... Twas mair glaur than gravel. Aye velo is a hero for surviving his bike choice. He's a better rider than he thinks. "Inventive route planning", spur of the feckin' moment mair like.

    Autumn gravel/xc social ride

Aye well, I'm not exactly a "gravel" bike fan, was always bringing a retro hardtail MTB, the Cannondale F800 with Lefty, but now just gonnae use the modern Transmitter. A bit OTT mibbees.

    Autumn gravel/xc social ride

I think it's because the trails might, naw, will be a tad moist that has caused his change of intended steed.

    Bleeding Magura Clara/Julie Discs

Meant to add earlier instead of trying to cut thread on syringe just try to screw it in to bleed port thread. It might seal enough to bleed brake. Also while nudging my memory into it's recesses it occurred to me that I would have bought the Magura bleed kit for when I had the Louise brakes on...

    Bleeding Magura Clara/Julie Discs

Had a rummage and found my tap and die set. The thread on my "vintage" genuine Magura bleed kit adaptor is M6x1.0. It fits into both the bleed ports on the Julie front caliper and HS** rear rim brake. Using a thread gauge I tried to check the thread on a ball pump needle adaptor like you suggest...
