Only if I tight the seat clamp very tightly, above the average, the seatpost doesn’t go down. Also the previous owner told me that the seatpost was undersized when I bought the bike from someone else

I recently got a Diamondback Ascent, perhaps year is 1995, not sure tho. When I bought the bike it came with a 26.6 seatpost. Can anyone confirm the right seatpost size for this frame? I will check again with a caliper tonight. Cheers

Re: Finally I replaced everything. Sometime the indicator still doesn't go to one but it's just the indicator. I agree with you, indicators are not necessary. By the way thanks for helping me

I disassembled a Shimano shifter ST-M39 because the speed indicator didn't work properly. Now I don't how to reassemble it! :facepalm: Basically I don't know where the spring goes with the metal indicator. I tried several position but I didn't find a solution. Does anyone known how to do it...
