Sold Like Alan Record Carbonio (Donnay/Carbon Valley?) 1980s in London £275

Identical to an Alan Record Carbonio except not actually an Alan because the Alan name is not marked on the top of the seat stay lug and on the forks. It is the same frame made by the same Italian manufacturer, just without the Alan badge. I understand they also made the same frame for Carbon...

Sold Dawes Super Galaxy 531 upgraded 27 speed Campagnolo shifters and Deore parts (London)

From the frame number starting with 01, I believe this is a 2001 model and so one of the last UK made Dawes. (But I'll stand corrected if someone knows better!) A classic touring frame which includes lugs on the front forks for front panniers. 21 inch seat post tube, so a medium size...

Early carbon fibre frame - help identifying please!

Wow, that was quick. Thank you very much. I thought the lugs looked nicely made. I had a look under the cable guide and there's just a figure "1" stamped. Any idea what age or model? (By the way, forgot to mention the rear brake cable is internally routed) The plan? Sounds like it warrants a...

Early carbon fibre frame - help identifying please!

Can anyone help me figure out what make/model/age this frame could be?The (missing) front derailleur is direct mount. Not sure how original any of the components are but for what it's worth, the cranks are Sugino, the rear derailleur a Suntour Vx, the forks are aluminium alloy. Thanks!

Sold 1988 GT Outpost, pre-triple triangle, Ishiwata Cro-MO 20" frame, in London £120

Thanks for the info on the model year. I stand corrected. When I described it as pre-triple triangle, I meant that it was a GT from before they started making triple triangle frames. Is that not the correct way to describe it?

Sold 1993 Peugeot Team, HLE Mangalloy 55cm frame, in London £125

Thanks, but it does seem to be hanging around. Maybe everyone's been put off by the guy who thinks steel doesn't have carbon in it, saying he thinks my HLE frame is made in China and weighs a ton (which it doesn't by the way)

Sold 1993 Peugeot Team, HLE Mangalloy 55cm frame, in London £125

No carbon in the steel? Seriously? Considering that steel is by definition an alloy of iron and carbon, I think I would have to respectfully disagree.

Sold 1993 Peugeot Team, HLE Mangalloy 55cm frame, in London £125

The sticker in pic 4 says Made in France... is it a lie? According to Peugeot: "HLE ("Haute Limite Elastique") Tubing: HLE is Peugeot's exclusive alloy tubing. It is a "micro alloyed steel" which is comprised of Manganese, Niobium, Aluminum, Carbon and Titanium, which offers a lighter, yet...
