Update to CB Velox S 71167 just finished its restauration , third once since 1976.Now sporting in period Campagnolo hardware, Cinelli stem and bars. Resplendent in Ford Mustang 1964/65 turquoise light blue metallic and Wimbledon white.

I remember my order being a special order 23,5 -24 inch frame which took several weeks to finally arrive . Partly an Easter present finally arrived May 1976.

Hi Doug you are right it could have been early May before i finally received it.i remember the weather was better in London so immediately started to cycle to school with it and how proud i was. Yes time flies for us all , am now 57 and working for a large IT firm just outside Munich in Germany...

Hi there , no it was not in stock and i remember having to wait quite a while for it as it was a special order 24” frame. Nearly bought an orange Holdsworth that was in stock ! Seems like yesterday but now 43 yrs ago.

One more thing the Brooks sadle i bought direct from Holdsworth in Putney at the time of the CB purchase and underneath on the chrome tray is the year 76 stamped .

Hi again, For the Super Coureur i divided the total for that years estimation and worked out that 16335 would be approx April ‘63’. Enclosed is a photo confirming my Original Spanish Gold and black downtube Velox S 24 inch frame bought myself direct from WF Holdsworth in Putney i remeber this...

Re: Hi have spent some weeks researching Nervex Serie Legere Lugs and am pretty sure this bike is the same as mine a 1961/2 Claud Butler Coureur /Super Coureur. These lugs were used at the same time as Nervex Professional and in my opinion more ornate as i did not like the claw pattern.
