Kona Hot Serial Number List - update 18/03/24

Just found TET 877 a 1993 in the classic magenta, not in perfect shape, decals a little rough but otherwise quite solid. Mostly M900 running gear except the brakes and shifters. horizontal emoticons

    Kona Misser replica 1997

Impressive that you were able to get that many parts of one donor bike! Maybe keep the frame around in case aluminum prices sky rocket and ypu will have a retirement fund.

    Kona Explosif 1997 team edition

Still a beauty. Maybe my favorite of yours as well. Have you considered a black Chris King beadset and black race face cranks ? Too "modern"?

    1999 Kona Hei Hei... 98 Oem+ Rebuild.. Update 01/07/22

We all try and achieve perfection or at least a high level of completion on our bikes (otherwise we wouldn't likely be on this site) but I can promise you when ripping down some single track you won't be able to tell its off a little, nor will you care.

    1999 Kona Hei Hei... 98 Oem+ Rebuild.. Update 01/07/22

I wouldn't beat yourself up too bad. One of the great things gs about Ti frames is when you want you can easily pull the decals buff up the frame and have another go

Good to know thanks. Guess you run the risk if buying sight unseen

I believe they fixed the M950 brakes pretty quickly with the M951 the year after? All of mine that have been M951 no issues, all of the M950 had lots of play

    94 Kona HOT 18"

I commented on facebook but if this was a 19 it would be in my garage haha, 18 is just too small, if it was local I might have given it a stab but not to ship it love the colour, look forward to the build, I have an 97 explosif and 94 brodie with P2s, and the are great if you do go with forks...

BoTM BoTM May 2022 nominations - Kona Special, dedicated to the memory of @pipmeister

Some real ridiculous bikes in here, so I am submitted as a nod to Pip, this was a great idea. Mortonm's 1996 Kona Hei Hei King Kahuna 1996 was the first model year for the King Kahuna in response to professional riders feeling the standard Hei Hei was not rigid enough. To combat this Kona...
