Re: Well, the long stem has a very similar design to the frame. Its just the better setup for general riding, especially on uphills. I bought the frame for 100 Euro.

    Score!! Spooky Bandwagon :P

Profiles are a great choice. Truely classic crank arms. Do you want to mount a disc brake adapter for the C2 or minis in the rear?

Re: This is one nice frame. Looking forward to see which parts add to it, especially brakes and crankset.

bullseye V-brake Now with BULLSEYE V-brakes. With the same pads these are a tad more efficient than the PAUL moto lite and they do not tend to squeal. Thus, the front brake booster is gone now. Further, the BULLSEYE V-brakes are good for wide rims (the motolites made it with the 25mm wide rims...

And now for something totally different

Re: Wow, that is quite modern! A riding buddy here builds a similar geometry bike and I am very curious how that feels on the trail. I' m used to 73 (seat tube) /71 (steerer tube) degree frames.

Re: The dirt just sticks on the stanchions because of excessive Brunox "Deo"- use. These seals are the first ones but the fork was not ridden much and I will keep them. I changed the seals on another bomber fork (Z2, 1997) to ENDURO seals but they had masses of stiction which they did not lost...

Re: Chameleons are great to work on. Many parts fit. And a black frame is great for colourful additions. Tires for example. Even more I am happy to have changed the forks to the Marzocchi bomber Z1 (1996). The marathon 2003s are a really good forks, and I keep them to be able to swap. Just...

Re: :) Oldest part is the dura ace 5-speed-freewheel from the late 70s. Although shifting is tough, the sl-mt60 thumb shifters... ...do their index shifting harshly but predictable. With a 5-speed freewheel you have the option to lace a symmetrical rear wheel. The bullseye rear hub can be...

Re: This order took some time. Now the drop out insert is in place, just the other side around to cope with a short axle. Its presence is useful for easy rear wheel positioning, too. Meanwhile the wtb seat was replaced with a 165 wide avocet air 40 M which is very comfortable. Moreover...
