    Retro E-Bike conversion.

Throttles are not illegal on self builds, just manufacturer builds as far as I'm aware.

So called big collectors belittling smaller.

I'd check to see if Chain Reaction have got any cheap Thick Skins left.

So called big collectors belittling smaller.

I wouldn't take it personally. The bikes can't.

State of the industry: a running thread

Since Covid I've had 2 jobs & turned down 3 I was offered. Nothing that paid particularly well but that's my choice now.

So called big collectors belittling smaller.

Been scarce here for a while but not something I noticed. Nor in other 'collector' hobbies. UK based. Wouldn't give a flying puck if they did. I'd just laugh at them.

Orange P7 Pure (now an ebike)

After using this as a regular commuter ride it's definitely not as nice a ride as any of my regular P7's. Hard to put my finger on it but seems sluggish & more effort to ride. I had an off on my ebike 2001 P7 conversion & broke the bridge on the Pace Airforce & didnt want to go back to it's...

State of the industry: a running thread

He doesn't need the company. Just the name to stick on his own sourced bikes. Like Muddy Fox.

State of the industry: a running thread

Aye - they can't deduct from your salary for the scheme if you're on minimum wage so I don't qualify for a much vaunted benefit at work. Then the company send out surveys on how you travel to work so they can claim the kudos for their reduced carbon footprint for my unincentivised decision to...

    Today's Ride

Localish to me. Nice one. Had several months in one in recent years. I used my time off to do some builds & would take them for test rides wearing my boot.

    Wheel building

I'm not a big reader so just followed the Park Tools youtube video for my first wheel build last week. Granted it was a replacement like for like hub so I reused the spokes on the same side of hub & flange they came from. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
