Decent Hans 'No Way' Rey short film.

I came here to post this too. Good bye Hans. You have inspired us for the past 38 years! Don't be a stranger on these websites. You will be missed.

How do I restore the original paint on my 90s MTB frame without damaging decals?

Most people just replace the decals when they restore the frame. There are a handful of businesses that reprint custom decals. The other option would be to mask the decals and find someone to mix up some touchup paint for you that matches the paint in the current condition. It's probably faded...

    Help with Kona Hahanna headset

This is why "follow you passion" is horrible carrier advice for most people. If you aren't Tom Ritchey or similar, working on bikes for a living is tough. I love it too. It's a great hobby. Imagine being so resentful that years later you can't sleep so you go searching the internet to find an...

1994 Diamond Back Axis - Rescue Build a.k.a. Guest Bike

You're on a roll lately. Great find. I'm looking forward to this one too. I think the Judy is the right choice. I love Bombers but I think they look best on over sized aluminum frames.

    1986 Ritchey Ultra

Over the past week my wife and I have gone on a bike ride with my little boy a few times. My son on his little 24" wheels, Trek MTB that I built for him, me on my Monster Fat and my wife on the Ultra. I cringe a little each time she rides on those tires. I really need to switch the wheelset with...

    1986 Ritchey Ultra

Does this bike check every box for an 80s build? Let's see: Bullmoose bar, check Chainstay U-brake, check Shark tooth, check Shark fin, check Skinwall tires, check Biopace rings, check Hite Rite, check Turbo saddle, check Roady headset, check Thumby shifters, check I don't think this could...

    1986 Ritchey Ultra

I still can't believe I found the Ritchey Megabite tires. They are so lightly used that there are still little rubber casting threads on some of the lugs.

1985(ish) Mongoose ATB - might be a slow burner!

That looks good. I like the headset choice too.

The return of the Romax (finished page 3)

Great history and a very happy, yellow bike.

1985(ish) Mongoose ATB - might be a slow burner!

I believe the mid 80s Raleigh mountain bikes used 21.1mm stems on their Bullmoose bars.

1985(ish) Mongoose ATB - might be a slow burner!

That's awesome! I love it. You might also want to invest in one of those foam pads that wraps around the top tubes on old BMX bikes.

Big bike. How tall are you? Looks like a fun project.

It's nearly finished. Maybe this weekend.

So I have added another GT to my stable....(read: Livingroom)

I'm curious about the feel of your wheels. The wheelset on my Zaskar feels strangely sluggish. I don't know if that's because 29ers feel sluggish or if the cheap hubs are holding me back. My rear wheel doesn't seem to rotate as freely as my front wheel. I don't know if that is a characteristic...

Do you have plans for a fork? That looks like a great bike so far. It's a beautiful frame.

The tornado touched down in Clayton and Forest Park. I haven't heard about anything serious at Lindenwood. It was wind, rain and hail in St. Charles County. My house isn't very far from Lindenwood.

I needed springs for my XT U-brake. I found an Exage U-brake that I could harvest parts from. I installed and adjusted the brakes and derailleurs. Mechanically everything is good. I still need to finish the wheels but the project is coming along.

    1986 Ritchey Ultra

You may have heard that tornadoes ripped through the Midwestern United States yesterday. I live outside of St. Louis Missouri. Seven people died in this area. Many more were injured. I drove into the city today to look for parts at the second hand bike shop. I passed this tree on the way. It was...
