For Sale A brace of Kona's for sale. - 93 Hahanna & 94 Lava Dome.

You can usually get a cardboard bike box from Halfords (that they received a bike from their warehouse in) then take the wheels off and pack it in there. Put a spacer between the rear forks so they don't get squashed, make sure nothing can rub. Remember bubble wrap is useless to prevent pointy...

For Sale Kona Cindercone 94? For Sale

Thanks, yes, that's the main thing. I always wanted one back in the day, so took the chance when it came up. But you can't keep them all . . .

For Sale Kona Cindercone 94? For Sale

I need to find a new home for this Cinder Cone. I think it's a '94 or maybe '93. I bought it in bits a few years ago and rebuilt it, with the original bits or some contemporaneous (or nearly) bits & bobs. I think it's quite an unusual colour, I don't remember seeing many/any in grey at the time...

    Dawes Edge 1994

We actually had two at one stage, I bought mine at full whack from the LBS, about 800 IIRC then the wife's a year or so later for half that (small frame leftover). Oh well. . .

    Dawes Edge 1994

Re: Yes, it's very different . . . quite impressive weight though, considering it's not carbonium. I have a number of steel bikes in the stable but none that I'd be able to liberate. Ok, thanks, I'll bear that in mind. Although if I had the makings of a Kona like that, I'd probably built it up...

    Dawes Edge 1994

Well, I have a (somewhat different kettle of fish) Scott Scale 50 frame weighs 1.5kg, aluminium with aramid winding. Would need forks, disc wheels, blah, however. Wants 120mm travel I think, and is of an XC geometry - I went a more slack route eventually. I spose it could work if you also had a...

    Dawes Edge 1994

Surely he must be ready for an upgrade by now? ;o) It's an idle fancy at the moment, so yes, I'll just hang out and see what comes up.

    Dawes Edge 1994

Yes indeed. Page 5 of 48 in the scan of the 1994 catalogue. Ahhh. Sadly after the "close encounter of the dog kind" there was a neat pleat in the down tube and a very steep head angle. I had concussion for about a week. Oh well. Maybe I'll find one. Otherwise might look for a contemporary Kona.

Early Dawes 'The Edge Team'. Anyone got any pics or info ???

If anyone has a 1994 Edge frame and forks (the metallic bronze one with green decals) in 17/18" (or whatever it was - not the 16.5 and not the 19) I'm looking for one. Mine was killed in collision with a dog and I've often wished I still had it. Did the coast-to-coast on it back in about 1995...

    Dawes Edge 1994

Hi, I'm looking for a 1994 Dawes Edge XT frame and forks, the 17" 18" approx size. Sort of light brown metallic with green decals, it would be. I had one and loved it dearly, sadly it was killed in collision with an out-of-control dog (as I nearly was, but only nearly . . . . ) Just thought...

    P.T. Stallard Montlhery

Re: Plan is to get it rideable and then maybe have it painted - hence the interest in the colour. Bob Jackson does what looks like a really good deal starting at £100 - but sadly no colours even close to the mythical blue. Sadly it doesn't have the original forks. The frame number is 732, and...

    P.T. Stallard Montlhery

Re: I have a 1948 Stallard, and according to my Dad (who bought it new) it was a light blue - like a duck-egg blue, as far as my folks can remember. It's orange at the moment but that was when we had it resprayed in the 70s so I could ride it . .
