Withdrawn Raleigh Reynolds 531 frame & forks - classic opportunity

The machine when I acquired it sported 531 decals on the seat tube and forks - I have no reason to doubt the authenticity . . . and judging by the very light weight of the frame it feels like 531. The pic in the yellow trim is NOT my machine - it's a stock photo to show the style of the...

Claud Butler 531 fixie - but rather different!

Claud Butler 531 frame built as fixie - BUT it's a bit different as it's a Sturmey Archer 3-speed fixed (i.e. hub gear, with a bar-end changer) Frame size is about 58cm, professionally cold-set for modern 700c wheels. Powder coat orange finish, black bartape, Specialized BG saddle, SPD M520...

WTD : Clamp for braze-on front mech

This is a real long shot request ... I'm after a clamp that bolts on the seat tube to then take a front mech that's designed for a braze on bracket. The real issue is that the tube is only about 25mm and is vertical - the bike is a Flying Gate ... the angle of a standard clamp, with a shim...

    Sturmey Archer mystery .....

Just looked at your bike ... I can see why Trevor says it isn't one of his - it looks from the photo as if the wheelbase is the same as a conventional bike (i.e. the seat tube if continued to the BB would allow a rear wheel to fit) rather than the Flying Gate concept of a shortened wheelbase...

    Sturmey Archer mystery .....

A preliminary search has found a few snippets of info but nothing comprehensive on a bike I've just acquired. The bike is a Trevor Jarvis Flying Gate - I have its provenance and know that it was bought as a frame and forks only from Trevor in late 1982/early 1983 - so the owner obviously built...
