Sorry, won't be able to make the weekend as it's the Snowman Rally here and I help look after one of the cars entered. The May outing sounds great and I'm looking forward to it already. If anybody is travelling from Inverness area and fancies sharing transport, let em know. Cheers.

    Road Ride:Sunday May 17th - Bonar Bridge - leadmore + return

Hi Jamie I will certainly hope to join you for either ride, but only if you promise no midges!! Will come confirm as soon as. Thanks for organising. Also doing the Etape Loch Ness. Not on the Hirame - that hill out of Fort Augustus would be waaay too much for the old git. ( That's me by the...

    Gearing Question

Hi Guys First in probably a long line of naive questions. I'm restoring an '83 Hirame road bike. It currently has a 5 speed freewheel of 24 - 14 size and a single chainring of 52t. I haven't ridden it with this gearing so have no idea as to whether it's suitable. Will have to put on a new...

    Newbie in the Highlands

Re: How's the wheel building course? Had a look at the Velocity site as would be a nice skill to have. Spreading it over a Monday and a Wednesday would make it hellish costly for me though. Am not doing course until next week (27th & 29th) but will let you know how it goes.

Hi all A quick hello from waaay up North. Have just started a full rebuild on an '83 Hirame road bike as my first foray into the wonderful world of Retro. Currently have a Giant Escape as commuter, Giant Defy as sportive/leisure ride, On-One Inbred steel framed MTB (allother parts transferred...
