Re: Its from a 2000 ish jekyl, its a super fatty 80. Ill have to get pics later as its locked away at the mo. It has v and disc mounts. Theres v brakes on it at the mo. Which ill include. There the same fork thats on my 1999 f1000

Hi all, im fancying a new build project. Something like a cannondale gemini/prophet, or a spesh enduro.or similar. Must be a large frame suitable for 6'1. Full or part bikes, frame only, i dont mind. Under 500 would be good too. What you got?

So, ive just snapped the swingarm on my 2001 ish jekyll, going uphill at walking pace ffs! So, i needs a new one. Any help greatly appreciated as its a lovely bike. Oh it has disc mounts. Cheers in advance Jack

Re: Thats a cool bike, did you buy it with the pace forks fitted? Any idea what headset it uses? Just picked up a jekyll this morning with the usual sticky headshok.

Re: Very smart, i think a 1x setup would spin out too quick on such a liggt bike.finally got my f1000 somewhere like ridable now. I found out that modern 1.5 " stems dont quute fit, without some persuasion of the rubber hammer variety.

Re: My f1000 felt feathery light on v brakes and mavix/xt wheels, but lardy with the disc conversion. Im putting it back to retro!

Re: Sorted, got a gt idrive xcr for buttons, in need of a bottom bracket and a stone unwedging out of the front mech! Sorted now and it rides great!

Ive just sold my latest project so im after something new. Budget is 250 quid, i dont mind a project as long as its interesting, special love for cannondales but im fairly openminded. Can collect in the north.
