Finally booked some time off from work, so on with the build. Frame and fork are back and decals are on. The set came with some usa flags, couldn't see them on other models so although they're on for now, they may be taken off at a later date

Luck of the drawer I think. I've had crossrides for 60 - 80 quid. My crossmaxs cost me 120 and 140 (on other bikes) and I picked up a decent set of mk1s for 110 last year. Those went on a mates bike and I'm now regretting putting them on it 😂

Ebay, Facebook, etc, I've often bought bikes just because I wanted the wheels 🙈 Stick up a wanted post on here in the relevant section, someone will no doubt have something for you Crossrides are good wheels, one model down from the crossmax which was mavics top end

I got a shim from sjs, can't remember whether I went 30.2 or 30.4 (they don't do 30.3) to run a 27.2 post and it works great

Most were black weren't they? I know disc versions came in both. They're going on a 95 pine mountain, so either colour will be fine 👍

Productive weekend... Last few bits arrived, Ceramic koolstops, grips, chain and then get it all cabled up. Still needs some tweaks but it's pretty much there

I love a coloured cable. Gives a nice colour scheme to the bike. Agree it doesn't work with all... But so many boring mass produced bikes out there, nice to give a bike a bit of character a bit of uniqueness
