    Any tips for unsticking a stuck stem?

    Re: Faced with a stuck/chewed allen bolt I find that hammering an appropriate sized torx bit into the socket usually gets enough grip to loosen the bolt, though of course the bolt itself may suffer.

    Re: Have you loosened the stem bolt a good few turns and then tapped it downwards with a hammer to loosen the wedge ? I would be surprised if its that stuck.

    Re: The frame number is legible on this one, plus cottered cranks and some old ever ready grey lamps that were fitted. I have just found the number, its : NB 203771 What year do you come up with ? Today I will reacquaint myself with cotter pins and service the bottom bracket.
