    meanwhile, in Madrid....

I think it's very much a case of knowing where to look. There are still bargains to be had as there are still people that think "it's just an old bike" while at the same time it and XTR parts will cost the same as the do in the UK or Germany. Had a good day out chatting old bikes (in Spanish)...

    Early Funk (with repair)

Just seen this thread.... I do know the entire history of my 1990 funk from it being the 1st 1 in the UK, the repairs and the last 31 years I've owned it, no it's not for sale. In 1990 they came in 1 size fits all, 19.25", can't see the ad now, but if it was 16", it wasn't an early 1.

    The unofficial Bigfoot/Ozone/Smokestone thread

My navigation might be suspect but I'm unlikely to have got lost on the way home. I know exactly which village it is, not too far south of Norwich but not so far it's Suffolk 🤣

    The unofficial Bigfoot/Ozone/Smokestone thread

The only remaining decal is the Headtube 1 which is in less than great condition, this info is both noted and appreciated. I have been remembering the fun I had that time I polished a 91 gsxr frame..... Going off the idea

    The unofficial Bigfoot/Ozone/Smokestone thread

Maybe it was the later smokestones? No matter. I went after it for it's British funkness, looking forward to getting to ride it and seeing how it compares with the Funk. Should really throw a tape measure over the pair of them for a comparison. Back story time. Back when I still lived in South...

My 1994 (I Think) Fuquay - Original Owner!

I grew up in that there Norwich too, although in 1994 I was 20 and joined the army at which point my fillet brazed 653 bike got lifted out the shed. Remember meeting Greg, I think when he first started making frames, maybe at a race (Thetford probably) and him coming out on a Sunday with the...

    The unofficial Bigfoot/Ozone/Smokestone thread

Fallen down a wormhole..... So as I understand it, initially these frames were sold as Bigfoot, the. Muddyfox kicked off about the name hence the change to Ozone. The 2 Bigfoot that peanutcracknell sold 3 years ago are numbered 31198 and 31295, both numerically after my frame (31193). Mine looks...

    The unofficial Bigfoot/Ozone/Smokestone thread

Turns out I've been storing an ozone for about 10 years! Just bought a DX specced bargain to build it up. Ignore the bar/stem/fork combo, and the saddle. Non of that will be staying. Frame no. 31193

    Torrot???

Don't know where I got Italy from?! My initial thoughts were a Spanish brand I hadn't heard of..... Can't say I've seen any down my way, but then again haven't looked. Could be a regional thing, the current factory is in Gerona and I did pick it up in Catalunya

    Torrot???

This week I bought a pair of Continental Explorer tyres (2d hand, little to no use, still got the little hair on) for 40€, they came with a free Deore LX specced bike made in Italy by a company called Tarrot. Never heard of them and a Google search says they now produce electric motor bikes...
