This is my recently purchased Claud Butler Professional. Yes it does have a frame number, unlike another that I have seen on the site. Bizarrely it appears on a decal at the bottom of the down tube. Not surprising then that they can be lost, as is the case with the main "CLAUD BUTLER" decal...
