Yeah i figured as i had a set from SLIM, i had nothing to lose by trying the experiment. The ones i got off SLIM are about right, they could have been maybe 5mm bigger as their is a bit of play but not to noticeable and the set he sent me are much better than the rock solid elastomers i had on...

I've almost been going round in circles trying to get some elastomer's for my Proflex 455. So thank you for this great site and friendly helpful souls for their help and assistance. I hadn't realized that 'elastomer' is just a fancy name for rubber! Any way thanks to SLIM for passing on some...

I read some where that elastomer is just a fancy name for rubber? That being the case it should'nt really be to hard just to get a rubber company to custom supply a tube of rubber to spec. Also any one here actually tried the boil or microwave method for restoring their elastomers? It sounds...

Here's a close up of the rear suspension highlighting how the elatomers work on the proflex 455, i'm guessing it'll be the same principle as the other Proflex models.

Thanks for the heads up, i'ved PM'ed SLIM but no reply their either yet. Looks like this is'nt going to be as easy as i thought. I figure somebody out their will have some old stock or know a good work around. The Proflex 455 looks fairly similar to the Proflex 555 so its just finding a Proflex...

Is the Rapid Descent site still going? I need some rear suspension elastomers for my proflex 455. I'm wondering how hard its going to be to get some. The ones which are on at the moment have gone really hard so its like riding a hard tail. Also are they fairly straight forward to put on?
