    Aluminium handlebars - safe?

Not an handlebar issue I know, but years ago, I had a Gary Fisher aluminium handlebar stem suddenly break, without any warning whatsoever  On reflection, I got off lightly, I was just cruising along on the road at 15ish MPH. However, 5 minutes before the stem decided to try and...

    AMP F3 fork

I have never serviced Amp forks, so I'm not sure what is involved. My plan is to carefully disassemble the forks and take notes / photos of how they come apart. I'm hoping all the new parts will replace those items that suffer from wear? Due to the rarity of these components, I should really...

I received a full set of Amp service parts from Brion last week. During our correspondence, he stated that I had the last complete set of service parts. I also purchased a new damper. Hi from newbie

I apologise for the poor quality of the picture, it is a digital photo of a 35mm picture I have of a Funk I purchased in 1991!! I still have all the receipts, it was purchased from Protrek in Acton and fitted out with mainly Campag running gear and some very early RockShox. Unfortunately...

    Hi from newbie

Now I have mastered the art of depositing pictures on the forum, I will take some more during the yeti strip down and rebuild. I'm open to suggestions on what colour to paint the frame? I re-painted the frame a number of years back, it used to be white. One question, do you know where I can...

    Hi from newbie

PC and I have some photos in my pictures directory. From memory, if you upload pictures you have to size them correctly?? or maybe I would be better having something like a Flickr account and a link ? It's all very confusing

    Hi from newbie

I will try and remember to take some photos of the Yeti during re-build and post them on this forum. it should be an interesting exercise?! I'm hoping to salvage the running gear, mostly Shimano XT parts dating back 15 years? Over bar thumb shifters, short cage rear mech, Magura hydraulic rim...

    Hi from newbie

Just like to say hello, I can't see any obvious introduction section on the forum? I own a Yeti Ultimate which I purchased a thousand years ago and I have not before time, decided to strip it down and re-build. In the meantime, not wanting to be without a bike during the re-build, I have just...
