Had another look at this stem with a good friend the other night and got to thinking what it may be. This is on a bike that I bought from an early Syncros Factory employee. He told me the headset was a prototype but did not elaborate at all on the stem. Thoughts?

a few for sure - I think someone mentioned the ibis bow-ti ... from what I hear they are a unique and fun ride (have one on the list to buy soon !!) Manitou FS's are pretty cool if you get a non cracked one Yeti ARC's from back in the day - who wouldn't want one of these Early Mountain Cycles...

and so the story goes of having 9 (well 10 but really 9 cause one is useless parts now)... buy one with a cracked head tube for the look, find one with a cracked chain stay and good head tube .. one nice, one really bad... find a NOS one, find a used non cracked one, then start buying any I can...
