Thank you! I have to agree that it does look better on the matching rigid forks but now that I'm more old git than angry student I need a little cushioning in my life ;) I had a feeling the bars would draw attention but to me they've been on so long (22 years) they look original! I might see...

Thanks Dare, for compliments and comments! What's FD and RD? I might try a wider, straighter set of bars, but the risers are good as I have slightly dodgy wrists, hence the experiment with the Rock Shox. Initial test down my favourite hill tonight was promising and a lot less impact up my arms...

My 1994 GT TIMBERLINE which I bought new way back in late '93. I've just finished a full rebuild/restoration this week! Loads of pics and the full story on this thread. And because I really wanted the "FS" model which had suspension forks but couldn't afford it I finally "retro upgraded"...
