Who would I be riding with? What fitness levels etc, etc? I wouldn't want to hold others back as I am ancient and decrepit!!! My bike isn't the best in the universe either. Bit like me, grumpy, old and knackered!!! :(

You are right of course. Let the train take the strain! I was toying with the idea of going to Llandudno on the train and having a scoot around there when I get a little fitter - probably next year now. The train goes straight there from my local station and another goes straight to Chester so...

It is a 1984 (84-11) 3 speed AW model. I will try and post pics but not very good at that sort of thing being very ancient. :( Where on Merseyside are you? I live in Newton -le- Willows.

Just found this thread - excellent. I love Muddy Foxes! I have a Muddy Fox Ranger Mega that I have been riding since it was new. Great machine and has never let me down. More info would be greatly appreciated on the Ranger if anyone has any? Cheers, Joe.

I used to be a member of the RSF & St. Helens CTC for my sins many, many years ago but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then - I'm talking the late 80's when I stopped hard cycling. Now I'm a fat old man but have the spirit - if not the knees - to want to ride properly again...
