Re: Agreed @troje. The bike currently weighs in at a shade over 24lbs / 10.9kg. The 18.5” frame is just under 4lbs/ 1.8kg. In my opinion there is no better hard tail than a lightweight triple butted chromoly frame!

Wasn't about the look of the tires, rather the traction. Unfortunately, i Couldn't find a set of natural sidewall WTB Velicoraptors with Kevlar beads locally! ;)

Troje Good luck on the bidding. I need to weigh it again. It's been a Long long time. If memory serves it was around 23lbs on a calibrated bike scale. I do remember the frame was about 3.8 lbs.

Simply pop off the black cap on the center of the top of the adjuster on each fork leg and insert the needle in the center. It is as simple as that!

Re: Well it looks like I'm about 12 months overdue on posting an outside pic so here goes! PS: Just rebuilt the forks thanks to the great input from this site. They are better than new now!

I'm going to correct my last statement. The 97 didn't come with any bar ends. Those race face ti bar ends were off my 93 Altitude. Loved em too much to give them up! Synchros seat post, Judy steering tube, and Ritchey WCS pedals were also ti stock spec tidbits. We are not that far apart on the...

Very nice ride and commitment to detail on the restoration! Looks beautiful!!!! Welcome to the Altitude T.O. club. Owned mine since new in 97...and will never ever sell it! PS: For your reference during the rebuild...apart from the tires and seat, this is the exact stock spec for 1997.
