The very first Ridgeback bouncy bikes

As here as well - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=369691 Now, I know they existed, but can I find photos of them? Hell no. Ridgeback made a series of bouncy bikes in the late 90s with names like Cooler King and Mr White. Anyone else remember them? They handled like pigs on stilts. Do any photos exist?

If you find yourself in Bozeman, Montana...

Be sure to find time to visit The Gear Wizard. http://thegearwizard.com/ Stumbled upon this place after a simply brilliant day's skiing at Bridger Bowl, and it was like an Alladin's Cave of retroness! So much loveliness in one place! Gleaming old Kleins, some original Jim Blackburn racks...

A treasure trove in Foggy Bottom

Yes, really, in Foggy Bottom, Washington DC. http://www.thebikeshopdc.com/history There's an amazing cabinet of curios (None for sale!) with such oddities as an original Kryptonite lock, some really early Look pedals and more. Worth a nose around if you find yourself in that part of DC.

    Retro Saracen of the Month?

Have we reached a level where there are enough? OK, so it's maybe a UK thing that so many of us found MTBs through Saracens back in the day, but I reckon it's time for some real respect for the old Saracens! I mean, just look at how big the Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous thread has got...

    NOS Green Wildgripper Sprint (Semi-Slicks)

Am thinking of doing up my 95 Marin as a singlespeed (I know, I know!) and at the moment it's running on some lovely amber walled, green Michelin Wildgripper Sprints. Would be good to have some more in stock. Only interested in the Semi-slick here! Anyone?

    X-Terra

Anyone remember X-Terra components? They popped up, very briefly, back in the heyday of anodized CNCed bling. I have some of their jockey wheels still, and seem to think I may even have a hub or two at the bottom of a box. Anyone else know anything about them?

C'mon then MacBike Centraal folks, let's see that Gazelle!

Business trip to Amsterdam, so of course I opt to put a hire bike on the company card, rather than take taxis around town. Well, how else do you get around the 'Dam? So, I popped in to MacBike in Amsterdam Centraal, where one of the chaps had just finished building a lovely old Gazelle. I...

    Wheel disc covers

You remember them don't you? Made by Cosmic, Local Motion, that sort of thing. Muddy Fox had a paw print one for a while. So, why are there no pictures of them about?

    Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

Inspired by this thing of beauty! http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38566 Anyone else have a love for the lovely things that Saracen churned out before they became a bit, well, dross? When they made the lovely Kilis, the even earlier Conquests, the E-stays and...

Are any bikes worth more now than they were then?

OK, so let's exclude any of those with an amazing provenance, such as the Tomac and Tinker's own rides of this world, but what about the bikes you could buy in the shop back in the day? Are any of them as yet, inflation etc adjusted, worth more now than they were then? Have we reached that point...

Pinkbike thread that's worth a look!

http://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomme ... &pagenum=1 OK, so there's a fair amount of the usual "Dood, that's dope!" kind of comments, but also some utter gems of the odder end of the spectrum! Including; I may know the whereabouts of a boxed set of these, need to check...
