Uncle Bob (Bob Jackson S&S Coupled tourer)

Hi...I didn't use the bracket - seemed like an unecessary lot of plastic for such a graceful leather/canvas look! There's a metal plate inside the bag that I slid inside the saddle rails, then attach that to the bag via bolts and washers inside. You can't remove the bag, but it's very secure and...

Uncle Bob (Bob Jackson S&S Coupled tourer)

Right, photos a bit overdue, but here's the final model. Packed it up int he suitcase and took it to the Paris Roubaix sportive this year... And now fully loaded as the poshest bike on the commute... It's all a bit too heavy to be taken too seriously, though gives me a nice...

Uncle Bob (Bob Jackson S&S Coupled tourer)

Had this for a while now, and only remember I hadn't put it on here... (the build is so-called as my Uncle Bob, now sadly departed, was a massively good egg and is coincidently shares the surname...) It was always my first attempt at the foolish classic newbie idea to make a bike that will do...

Colnago Super for sale - help please

A few (too many) inconsisties to make this one worthy of too much thought. I spent 6 months searching for the perfect (super/mexico/sport) 'nago, so whilst not an authority, I've seen quite a few. The single 'goto' item I always look for is the top of the seat stays - I wouldn't buy a 75-85...

    Brompton's...

As much as Brompton's make logical practical sense, they've never really been a genuine contender for my garage as they just lack....the fun. Where's the joy or desirability in something so small and, dare I say, hijacked by the Richmond to EC2 hi viz accountant set?! I guess they're perfect to...

    Hetchins or Colnago frame 58-60cm

Recently cleared out the garage so have 2 new builds in mind, so depending on which frame I come across first is where I'll start.... Colnago (ideally Super or Mexico) must have panto'ing in the seat stays, and Hetchins am open to suggestions (quirky lugging a must, of course) ! Cheers Dan

    The (retro!) Light Thread!

So...You've painstakingly trawled through catalogues assessing and amassing the precise period features for your trusty steed... Though dammit the lights of that era just don't cut it weight nor illumination wise and if I'm riding trhe mean streets of London I'm not leaving anything to...

Pinarello Prestige (S?) internal gear cable routings

I've recently seen a few Pinarello (only the Prestige S model as per the examples I can immediately find) that have quite a unique internal gear cable routing through the downtube Does anyone know any more frames that have this feature or anything more about it? examples...

Yeah, thinking it might be a stretch to use this as a 'donor' bike now, cheers for the advice though.

GAZELLE CHAMPION MONDIAL IN MINT CONDITION. NEW PICS &PR

It was for a conversion to an alfine or rohloff, such is my next project. (wouldn't dream of fixie-ising it!) Appreciate this probably won't go down too well tho!
