Thanks,Yes i do feel lucky and the colour is superb how it blends together from metalic to carbon couldn't refuse when i went to have a look at the frame.

Not sure about the round badges as the guy who i had the frame from also had the levers so giving them a try from the down tube shifters i'll take some convincing but from trying them today there not bad so may have some down tube shifters and other Dura ace bits for sale soon.

It's a frame that caught my eye all those years ago and decided to have another browse on ebay and there it was and brand new so many more years left in this frame.

A little while ago i was in two minds wether to purchase a new bike as the bike i've had from 1989 was not right for me anymore and to save any hassle.But the componants on it were in to good a condition to ignore so decided to source a new frame and swap over.I managed to buy a carbone TVT92...

The shell is italian so idealy need 113mm but i would imagine this would bring the chainring in slightly thus the chain being at more of an angle when on smaller rings.I did put the 113 on but was way to close to the chain stays.what can be an issue with a axle that's to long apart from the...

looks like it's coming out again then,it comes out any more it'll be doing the hokey kokey.

can you see the difference from the outer part of the axle inwards towards a groove the gap is larger so would you say because of that that the right side is drive,not just because the writing on the axle and expect it to be that way.

can anyone tell from the picture which way the axle goes in,if you look at either end of the axle one end is different.

So it would just seem to be gear selection that's causing it,but going back to the original post would you expect the gap on the axle to be the same on both sides or has the chainring hole possibly got larger.

The cranks are dura ace 7402 and the axle is 115mm wide.I don't suppose the crank bolt hole has widened do you think. :? :cry:also dura ace b/b.
