Concorde CF with Dura Ace 7400 - Late 80's

Re: Just checked eBay....sellers charges are ridiculous! And Gumtree looks like a hive for stolen bikes so unlikely to find the target audience there. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can sell this it would be appreciated. (shameless attempt to bump)

    Convert Geared to single speed?

Whoa! So many options! I don't think I will tackle rebuilding a wheel and I don't want to pay for it either. I dont even know how much ill use it yet!! For now, I will just go with the easy option and straight swap the 5speed with a single speed and see how that goes. Thanks for...

    Convert Geared to single speed?

I picked up an old bike from ebay, with the intention of doing it up and using it as a winter/tourer. Alas, it just wasnt good enough for that but I dont want to waste it so i'm going to turn it into a single speed bike. Never had a fixie/single speed before so I have a few things i'm not...

cheap-as-chips road forks for project (sell or swap)

Hi all. Building an old steel bike as a "project". Bought a broken old thing for £25 and going to try and build as a single speed/fixie. Managed to pick up most of what i need from eBay but forks seem to be quite expensive (or rare!). Anyone got an old set of threaded forks they want...

    Dura ace/ultegra 8spd STI levers

Hi. Thanks for the offer of the 105 sti levers I really want to stick with dura ace as thats what the rest of the bike is but as they are quite rare, i'd consider the 105s if I don't get any luck. Can you pm me the details? (Price etc) Thanks Rob

    Bianchi Info (pics)

Was that really a genuine auction bid? If it was, that seller must be laughing his head off. There was no details of the components and the picture was not good enough quality to see it but from what I could tell, it looked really low end stuff. I know Bianchi frames are nice, but I don't...

    Bike obsession? me?

obviously its personal preference, but IMO, bars & saddle have to match and white cork tape is usually my first choice. Although on your bike, a natural leather/tan colour would probably make it look really nice if you want to make it look even more old school. :D Rob

Looks like Cinelli xa stem and criterium bars. If they were on it originally, then i'd agree with "otherself" and say some time in the 80's. They were the bar & stem I was desperately saving up for as a teenager :D

Amazing what you see on the street....

As i was strolling to work today, this "Pinarello" caught my eye - it looked too nice to risk leaving by the side of the road - even with those locks on! Ignore those crappy pedals, this little baby has Dura Ace 7400 group (including the 1st gen STI levers), Campag rims and carbon forks...

Anyone want to swap Dura Ace 7400?

Thanks Andy. I wasn't sure what the jumps should be. I figured a jump of 2 would be OK although perhaps only when it gets to the bigger sprockets. Thanks for the offer of the 23T. I'm checking out ebay to see what I can get - if i have to buy a whole new cassette with all the sprockets I...

Anyone want to swap Dura Ace 7400?

Hi All, Big thank you to everyone posting information. It was indeed an 8 speed uniglide cassette. I know some of you will be saying "I told you so" , but there were so many opinions, I didnt know which ones were right! :) (Also, big thanks to the nice young man at Halfords who let me...
