    Englund Air Cartridges

The Englund carts in my Judy SL's transformed the fork, it actually worked well and had rudimentary adjustment not afforded by the elastomers or white bros damper. plus it pushed the travel up to 60mm

Heads up if buying from r2-bike.com in Germany

Having to check where things are coming from is a pain, but it’s what apparently 51% of the country voted for… although I personally only know a handful that did… Lovely brexit benefit, along with be roaming charges reintroduced and ejection from research projects and the ability to stay in the...

    CANNONDALE bad boy identification

Not sure where a MTB with 700c wheels really fits, but I guess it’s further from road to live in this section!!! I’ve just bought a bad boy for no real reason other than it’s damn cool! But struggling to work out what I’ve actually got… the serial number doesn’t resolve on the cannondale...

    Fake Chinese bike parts

Did anyone get the Ingrid mech?? I’m really mixed about this… asking the seller, they are a 1:1 copy and genuine Ingrid spares fit… I’ve plenty of Chinese titanium fixings - they are light and haven’t broken! There was a YouTube showing comparisons between random AliExpress bolts, rated steel...

For Sale IRC Mythos XC Redwall Front kevlar brand new tyre - never fitted

26x2.10 Kevlar Front mythos XC, brand new, never mounted, no cracks, tears, mould, been kept in a bike box for the past 20 years! Still has the shipping talc on the rubber. One gruby mark on otherwise pristine skin wall tyre, this should clean off OK. Thinking £55 posted to the UK?

    Max 5nm - do you?

5nm is surprisingly not very tight! I've always in the past just cranked bolts up to fugging tight with no issues. For my Carbon/ti bike I bought a little topeak 5nm torque wrench, while I understand this is less accurate than a proper TW it's a lot more accurate than my hands... It didn't stop...

    Restoring a polished titanium frame

You will have to try pretty hard to go too deep with any sort of normal abrasive on a ti frame... Its just working the oxidized layer, that looks like someone has gone along the tube so should be easy to rescue. Use a strip of red scotchbrite, wrap it round the tube and polish... don't go...

    Onza SPD's

Stick with the xt's the bearings in the onza are pretty rubbish and elastomers were never Brill when new, I can't see 20 years in a box making them any better! That said, they did look neat though and I ran them for a few yeas back in the 90's 😊 still have a really mangled pair in my toolbox

Bike bells - what does everyone actually use ?

I second that, they are great, but wear faster than tyre sidewall with a misadjusted brake block!

    Broke the Fat Chance

I have loved riding it over the years, for the time being its in its bag in the loft, at some point there will be a repair 😊 probably coinciding with a bit of a refresh. But that's hard, the patina and flaking stickers all hold a certain charm 😊 But need to recover after buying the Ti Sync 👍

I have the machined AMP brace as well as the TWP, it may be more flexi, but the shiny AMP one wins for me!
