Just finished my 1988 Specialized RockHopper comp today

Re: Re: Yup. I bought a Rockhopper in '89 - light grey and Deore LX. Lovely bike. I have a period catalogue and I have to admit Specialized mountain bikes of that era are really special for me. Just about attainable (it took me a while to save up for the Rockhopper but it was worth the wait)...

    1988 Overbury's Pioneer

You and me both - have just started sorting through the projects I have, and the '89 Cinder Cone hasn't moved in the last couple of years. Still, they aren't going anywhere, so when I get the time...

    1988 Overbury's Pioneer

Re: Definitely having sellers remorse now! So pleased to see the old girl being cherished though - I spent a lot of time with her on Woodbury Common, near Exeter, back in the day, and went to a couple of races too. Always got loads of attention - a rare and admired bike even back...

1988 (I think) Overbury's Pioneer frame and forks

Re: Re: Cheers Ash - I think so too. I feel a bit sick to be selling it to be honest as i've had it so long, but needs must and I need to prioritise. I'll probably never build this up and it's a shame to see it hanging in the garage doing nothing...
